i didnt think i would need words for this one but i think i will elaborate. i hope to push my fellow syrians into drunk bowling and paintballing with me. i CANNOT wait. lets just say there are a few people i would like to shoot some low blows on during paintballing. id also love to steal a couple of fools money in bowling. ive been known to do that a couple times.  ;) blahblahblah doesnt matter what else i say because this next week is just going to be gibberish looking forward to feb 26.

9 more days and ill have no more access to in n out. if i was going to be gone for my birthday i would make a special request for someone to ship me a double double plain just cheese with an extra toasted bun cut in half and fries extra crispy with a dr pepper. ketchup? no thanks id rather vomit. it has never disappointed me, at most made me slightly uncomfortable but ive heard that can only make u grow. when i moved on up to the double double it believed in me and supported my decision. it has accompanied me on long walks on the beach, road trips, and sad days. needless to say its loyal, consistent, and pops up when ever i need it. gosh i will miss u but no worries it will be my goodbye and hello meal back to sf. (maybe i should be a spokesperson.)

the last thing i would associate cali with is snow. dont get me wrong it snows here but it just not the first thing that comes to mind. i miss snow and this weekend was a GREAT escape to tahoe. i want to go back asap.

such a funny movie. i dont know if it is because i can relate to the awkwardness of having a family who speaks mainly arabic and most of my friends dont, or what. but the language barrier in this movie is hilarious. it addresses the never ending topic of, "are they talking about me?" even the meeting the strange eccentric parents part is great. i want to watch this movie over and over again. if anyone has seen this movie or anything similar to it let me know.

12 days until i discover new territory:)

12 more days until i arrive in the montreal airport with bags in hand and butterflies in my stomach. ill be reuniting with old friends, meeting new friends, and finding that local bar just around the corner of my new apartment. the nearest coffee shop doesn't know whats about to hit them. i cant wait to do all these things and MOST importantly to shoot shoot shoot. shoot people, shoot places, shoot emotions, shoot culture. excited isn't the word for it. elated is. ahhhh, in with the new and buh-bye routine (see you in two months).

story of my life.

its a bit more complicated then that but in essence i cant be happy when im in the same place for some reason. i need to always be on the move. meeting new people, learning new languages, visiting new places, and planning another getaway are a few things that make me happy. in the past year i've been to (hamburg, germany) twice, (puerta vallarta, mexico), (dc), (montreal, canada), (aleppo, syria), (beirut, lebanon), (sharm al shiek, egypt), (cairo, egypt), (paris, france), (santa barbara, ca), (san francisco, ca), (los angeles, ca), (lake tahoe, ca). i cant believe how blessed i am. sometimes i forget to thank my amazing parents that feed my need. love u so much mom and dad. :)
